Canada is the second largest country in the world and the 21st richest. Generally it is considered easy-going, tolerant and stable. It has one of the fastest growing populations among industrialised nations.
As well as attractive and historic cities, which have grown as centers of industry, commerce and business, Canada is blessed with vast areas of beautiful and environmentally critical open space, including The Rockies, the Labrador Coast and the grasslands of Saskatchewan. Much of the countryside has been given over to protected national parks, though there are also large areas of land that contain huge reserves of natural resources and minerals that may possibly be developed in future years.
