Where or What to Buy

Map of Australia

The sixth largest country in the world and thirty times the size of Britain, it is hard to comprehend the size of Australia and summarise the diversity within it. It crosses three time zones and is made up of eight states and territories, each with its unique character, economy and legislature. The geographical variety is astounding, created and characterised by the climates that are encapsulated across the country’s vast land mass: lush, tropical jungle; unending, arid plains; cultivated, rolling vineyards, and of course, the mile after mile of wonderful golden beach that draws millions of visitors every year.

Australia is a multi-culturally rich country with diverse ethnic persuasions that combine to offer captivating experiences, be they culinary, artistic or sporting, embodied in such national icons as the Sydney Opera House and the Great Barrier Reef. Australia’s diversity is its wonderful selling point, being a favourite destination amongst dedicated surfers, refined wine enthusiasts and intrepid explorers alike.

Australia is also a primary destination for international residents looking to relocate abroad. Ask a handful of Brits where they would choose to live if they had the chance and without doubt, one will say Australia. It is not surprising then that around 20,000 British people make the move every year, attracted by a comparable culture and lifestyle but much improved climate and laid back atmosphere topped off with a favourable exchange rate.
