London – the hottest destination on earth in 2012

November 4, 2011Article by Ray Withers

The mercury might only reach an average 11 degrees celcius but London is set to be the hottest destination on earth in 2012 both in terms of tourism and property investment I believe.

Voted the Top City to visit in 2012 by Lonely Planet and with the Royal Borough of Greenwich named as a must see destination next year by auspicious travel guide, Frommers, the UK’s capital city presents a very exciting opportunity for  investment.

And property in the UK is what our clients most desire according to the most recent Property Frontiers Investor Survey. This desire is now turning in to action as interest in our latest investment opportunity, The Royal Albert Dock hotel, located in Docklands, London is proving extremely high.

Located just minutes from London City Airport, the ExCel exhibition centre and with easy access to the Olympic Park at Stratford, The Royal Albert Dock Hotel capitalizes on the rapidly growing demand for accommodation in London.

Already attracting over 26 million visitors each year with an extra 500,000 expected in 2012 due to the Olympic Games not to mention the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Farnborough Air Show, tourism to the Capital is booming with the London hotel market set to enjoy a record breaking year in 2012 according to the experts at PriceWaterhouse Coopers.

With some 200 well located en-suite rooms, demand for the new Royal Albert Dock Hotel, operated under the Holiday Inn Express brand will be high with investors forecast to receive up to 10.5% NET yield by Year 5.

Only 9 rooms remain available at the pre-launch price of £125,000 with 50% non-status finance available upon completion so interested investors are urged to act quickly to secure a slice of prime real estate in the hottest destination of 2012.
