Student accommodation investments will continue to make the grade in 2012

After a short break over the festive season I’m back blogging and firstly want to extend a warm welcome to you all in 2012!
This ‘Year of the Dragon’ promises to be even more lucrative than 2011 and the team and I are working hard to bring you the very best investment opportunities both at home and abroad.
Getting 2012 off to a positive start, I was very pleased to see the latest CBRE report which revealed that a staggering £840 million of capital was commited to invstment and development in the student accommodation sector in the UK last year, more than double the amount allocated in 2009.
Purpose built student accommodation units such as Hatton Garden in Liverpool was one of our best performing asset classes of 2011 and I am delighted to say that we are still able to offer double digit assured returns from our latest student project – Gradwell Street.
