Thank you, we did it! Frontiers Foundation successfully brings water to Ngwezi B village in Zambia
July 23, 2012Article by Ray Withers
Last month, fellow Frontiers Foundation trustee Charlotte Ashton and I saw a year’s planning, preparation and fundraising come to fruition as we flew out to Zambia in Southern Africa, embarking upon the charity’s first project – drilling a borehole in Ngwezi B village.
Inspired by the positive social impact I witnessed as a result of the development of the bamboo plantation in Nicaragua in which many clients invested, the Frontiers Foundation has been established to change lives on a grass roots level in communities worldwide which need help the most.
Working directly with our like-minded charity partners, SAPEP and PEPAIDS, the Frontiers Foundation raised enough funds to successfully drill a borehole which now delivers fresh, clean and free water to 25 communities, their land and livestock.
I would like to thank everyone at Property Frontiers, AB Property Marketing, clients, friends and family for helping make this happen. It is most certainly the first of many projects to come, but we are glad that it all went to plan.
Even though it was a relatively small project it was satisfying to see that we had managed to make a tangible difference to the lives of the people living in Ngwezi B now and also for many generations to come.
We will continue to search for similar projects where we can have a direct impact and help communities to flourish, grow, and change their lives for themselves, and we sincerely hope that we can continue to do this for many years to come.
