Algarve Property Is Investment Bargain, Says Property Frontiers

August 31, 2009Article by Ray Withers

ALGARVE, PORTUGAL _ September 1, 2009: Massive discount and finance incentives make Algarve property a bargain for investors, says international property consultants Property Frontiers. With two new developments on the market, investors can pick up property in Portugal’s favourite holiday destination with little cash down.

For golfers, an extra incentive is a huge £26,000 membership of two top golf courses – Vale da Pinta and Gramacho – when buying a selected property. Apartments and villas at Forte Do Vale and Vale Da Pinta are for sale at 20% under market valuation and come with 100% finance.

“With the Algarve being Portugal’s favourite top-end tourist destination, the property market has not been affected to the same extent as the rest of Portugal or indeed the rest of Western Europe,” said Property Frontiers director Ray Withers.“The first wave of ‘baby boomers’ are coming to retirement age and this is putting upward pressure on housing demand as home buyers and tourists alike come to the Algarve.”

According to latest survey figures from the Global Property Guide, Portugal is one of seven countries pulling out of the property price slump with the Algarve in particular leading the way.

Both developments offer different strategies for investors.

Forte Do Vale
A new apart-hotel that is built and running in Albufeira with a selection of studio, one and two bed apartments offered at 20% discount with 100% finance. Prices start from £ 155,000. Investors are also offered other incentives – like up to six weeks free use a year and a free furniture pack.

Vale da Pinta
Vale Da Pinta has a reputation as one of the leading golf courses and resorts in the Algarve. The development comprises one bed apartment and two and three bed villas ranging from £200,000 – £371,000 with 100% finance available. The development is halfway between Lagos and Albufeira. The properties are also priced at 20% under market value. For golfers, Vale Da Pinta has a top name for a great course.
