Brighton and Hove prove favourite spot for young professional urbanites
June 23, 2015Article by Charlotte Ashton
Young professionals these days are prepared to demand the very best and new research from Lloyds Bank has shown that these highly skilled, qualified young urbanites are opting for the unified towns of Brighton and Hove as their destination of choice.
The perfect location
Providing easy access to London while nestled on the UK’s south coast, Brighton and Hove enjoys the ideal location for young professionals looking to commute to the capital but live by the sea. The research from Lloyds has found that the BN3 postcode district, which covers Hove, is the top property hotpot for 25 to 44 year olds buying homes in England and Wales. BN1, covering Brighton, took the number five spot.
Ray Withers, Chief Executive of leading property investment specialists Property Frontiers, comments,
“Brighton and Hove is absolutely packed with the kind of amenities that young professional urbanites are seeking. From fabulous shopping to vibrant nightlife, it has a great deal to offer, and all within an hour’s commute from London.”
The perfect property
Property Frontiers has been monitoring the Brighton and Hove area for some time and was delighted to launch its new green urban living apartments at Park View Apartments just a few weeks ago. Located in front of Brighton’s fabulous Preston Park, the boutique, spacious homes are ideal for young professionals. The existing commercial building is undergoing a major transformation as part of the development, which will see 21 two bedroom, two bathroom units available from prices of £330,000 to £420,000, within walking distance of Preston Park train station, Brighton city centre and the seafront.
The project is set to appeal particularly to buy-to-let investors targeting the huge young urbanite market. The Lloyds research has highlighted its location as being spot on for sought after accommodation, thanks to Brighton and Hove’s unique charms. The conjoined towns offer a highly prized location thanks to their independent vibe. From the fabulous collection of retailers in the Lanes shopping area to the local music scene, Brighton is known for being a welcoming and exciting destination to live, work and play in, far removed from the many identikit high street towns that are spread across the UK.
Having the sea on the doorstep cements the town’s position as one of the most desirable residential locations in the UK – Brighton really does have everything that even the most demanding young professional urbanite could desire!
