Florida Property Investment To Top Overseas Sales In 2010

January 21, 2010Article by Ray Withers

Florida property is to be one of the biggest sellers in the UK in 2010, international property investment consultancy Property Frontiers have announced. This is because people have realised the investment potential of the bargains on offer, and because the international and UK recovery is expected to strengthen this year, according to a spokesman for the firm.

David Cox, a managing director said:

“Florida is known around the world as a tourism hotspot, and more and more people abandon packages and rent privately every year. Combine that with the current abundance of 40% – 60% discounted properties, be they distressed or repossessed sales, and a blind man in the dark can see the buy to let investment and capital investment potential that currently exists.

“We are forecasting that sales will see a massive increase from February onwards as people have realised the investment potential, and that the bargains sell like hotcakes, and after the Christmas new-year lull the flurry of activity will begin. We saw demand increasing from April onwards as the international recession showed what its full extent was likely to be, as the recovery strengthens this can only increase the numbers of buyers confident enough for such a near fool-proof investment.”

Property Frontiers are currently only marketing one Florida property for sale, but that is only because the developments sell out almost as quickly as they come on. The current opportunity is set to be no different, and may even sell quicker than the rest have.

Waterside at Coquina Key is a Condominium development offering 1 and 2 bedroom condos, all of which are frontline to the water, and priced at £51,400 and £58,200 respectively.

The small difference between the 1 and 2 bedroom condos obviously makes the 2 bedroom more cost-effective, but also obviously depending on the buyer and the intended use. Tenanted and vacant properties are available, and the property is a new build.

Waterside at Coquina Key is just minutes away from the city of St Petersburg. The fourth largest city in Florida, St. Petersburg boasts 244 miles of shoreline along Tampa Bay, Boca Ciega Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and intra-coastal waterways. The city has the largest municipal marina in the South East with 610 boat slips, plus nine boat ramp locations, open year round. The area also boasts Fort De Soto Park – one of the nation’s top ranking and award winning beaches.
