Natal the One to Beat for Property Investment

June 3, 2010Article by Ray Withers

Property in Natal is almost certainly one of the best investments in the global property market according to international property investment consultancy Property Frontiers. Because, the firm says, it has so many things going for it that make anything but growth almost impossible.

David Cox, director of the firm said:

“When you look at Natal with a property investor’s eye; that is to look for the things likely to make a property investment successful, Natal just has so many things going for it that it is hard not to recommend it as one of the best investments on the global market.

“We all know about the massive economic growth in Brazil’s future. Its having agricultural production rivalling the US, a surge in consumer spending, and foreign investment having tripled in the last decade would likely be enough to generate substantial growth, and then on top of that one of the largest oil discoveries in Latin America was recently made off the coast of Brazil.

“Needless to say, the affluence of the Brazilian population is growing at a rapid rate. Thus, the demand for housing to buy and rent is growing at a rapid rate. The north-east is leading this growth; according to a recent report by Sao Paulo research agency Property Studies, (AKA Embraesp), property prices in Sao Paulo rose 22% in the first four months of this year.

“Natal is also growing rapidly, and so is the demand for property. Potentially, Natal property prices have grown by the same amount as Sao Paulo or maybe even more.”

Currently the main growth sector is that of affordable housing aimed at the local market, with most of the demand for top end property coming from foreigners. However, as affluence continues to grow, Brazilians will increasingly become buyers in the luxury sector; either trading up their homes, or buying second homes.

“This exit strategy is another reason why investment in Natal property is such a good idea,” Cox finished.
Property Frontiers is currently marketing a new property in Natal, Brazil aimed at the massively growing local market. Edificio Dr. Geraldo Furtado is an exclusive development offering 86 2 and 3 bedroom apartments priced from £57,000. The development offers investors a guaranteed rental yield of 6% for the first four years.

The new development compliments the Natal Ocean Club development marketed by Property Frontiers aimed at the luxury sector; giving them something for everyone in Natal property.?
