New survey shows what students want from university accommodation and Central House has it all!

June 11, 2013Article by Ray Withers

A national survey of 1,500 students carried out by AccommodationForStudents.com has this week revealed what the main criteria students consider when looking for accommodation whilst at university.

What is most gratifying is that Central House – our latest purpose built student development in Glasgow – ticks all their must-have boxes!

The most important factor when looking at where to live, voiced by 58% of students surveyed, is how close the accommodation is to the university itself. Central House is located right in the centre of Scotland’s biggest city, Glasgow, occupying a superb location on Jamaica Street, just minutes away from 4 university campuses.

The research also revealed that 70% of students feel that it is very important that rentals are inclusive of bills so they can keep track of their finances.  Central House accommodation, which opens this summer in time for the 2013/14 academic year, will be offered inclusive of all power and internet costs.

Perhaps the most interesting fact to come out of this research however is that students are not that concerned about décor or even room space but 88% consider fast internet connection the most important feature of a property

Those surveyed also want good storage space, large and functional communal areas so they may socialise easily and ideally double beds. Central House once again come up trumps offering all these features and more.
